Parking downtown is now going to cost $7.00 an hour.
I am beginning to think the rumor is true that the city wants to get rid of the middle class. Especially when reading the Median Home List Price last week was $825,000.
I think the $5 a month is for those with monthly parkers. Hourly parking rate would stay the same, except at the West 2nd surface lot. I think we're in a time when a lot of things are happening, and we'll have to see how they shake out.
No decision made yet on that extra penny, and staff isn't recommending solid waste fee increases at this time.
