A word in the first segment was changed to something more appropriate due to a suggestion. I have begun using the strikethrough mode so you can see what is altered.
re: Use of ARPA funds. It would be helpful to have more clarity from the City Manager on the need for a new strategic plan as well as what the terms of reference for its development will be (including specific elements the city believes require updating) and an explanation of its relationship to the recently approved Comprehensive Plan.
Strategic plans are not required under Virginia law, whereas Comprehensive Plans are. Strategic plans are documents intended to guide spending. Charlottesville's last plan was adopted for FY18-FY20 and was extended to FY21. Then there was quite a bit of turmoil and the update has been delayed. A good place for anyone interested to start is the existing document.
i have a fever and the only cure is: more bagpipes!!!
I tried to see if I could install a plug-in to mimic one to throw in somewhere, but I realized that was taking up too much time.
Still now I need that plug-in.
This edition has now been updated to have the correct name for the Housing Advisory Committee. What did I say originally? It's in strike-through.

Will Sola-Yates and Stoltzenberg be eligible to be re-appointed AGAIN when these terms expire?

The idea was to have specific metrics to measure progress toward goals.
For comparison, take a look at Albemarle's plan.

RE: use of ARPA funds
I'd appreciate an explanation for this item--$100,000 for updates to wayfinding
Thank you.
There was nothing in the packet, but here's verbatim what was said:
"We also put in $100,000 for wayfinding. Some of the signs need updating, etcetera, and this was recommended by Chris Engel in economic development."
The existing signs were installed in the late 00's when Gary O'Connell was still city manager.
