The Town of Ivor in Southampton County still very much exists, and you can now drive a golf cart on roads now.
Has anyone given the total amount of local funding that the city has provided to PHA on just the Friendship Court project alone? I know that PHA has received (and spent) hundreds of thousands during the planning stages. Don't research. If you don't know I'll query the City formally and see what it comes up with. *** “Without adequate subsidies, it is virtually impossible to build affordable housing.”
In the fiscal year that begins today, the city of Charlottesville is providing an additional $2.5 million to Piedmont Housing Alliance for the second phase of Friendship Court. Another $10.25 million in city funding for Friendship Court in FY24 through FY27. ***
