A great loss for the entire area around the store. It is very sad that small, independent grocery chains do not seem to be able to survive.

Very sad to hear that Reid's is really closing. They were my go to when I lived in the Greenleaf neighborhood . . . the butchers were great, the meat selection was awesome, staff was friendly (and the customers too!!!), they always had those last minute items when I needed them and I was always running into someone I knew. And I would still drop in for meat and other things even after moving into the county. A huge loss to community and the surrounding neighborhood.

The headline and story originally had the incorrect name for the store. It's Reid Super-Save Market and not Reid Super-Save Mart. I regret the error.
